David Duband’s earliest mentor was Robert Jayer, the former owner of the Jayer-Gilles winery. He is a leading figure among the new generation of winemakers, combining vitality and expertise. Since 2008, he has adopted Leroy’s winemaking style, using whole bunches with stems (pédicelles) for fermentation. The wines feature herbal aromas that are fresh and spicy, very characteristic of Pinot Noir.
