Description
Founded in the 12th century by the monks of Cistercian Abbey, the Joliet family took over in 1853 and is now in its sixth generation. The Clos de la Perrière, known as the Petit Chambertin, is the exclusive garden of the Domaine Joliet (Monopole). Bill Nanson, author of The Burgundy Report: “Clos de la Perrière was once considered the finest vineyard in Burgundy, rivaling the best of the world, Chambertin.” Although it is classified as a first-class garden, the price is also close to the Murata level, and it has the quality of a small Chambertin and has become a cost-effective choice for many drinking friends!
