Description
In Burgundy, there are four wineries established by the Hospices de Beaune, with Hospices de Beaune being the most famous.
Founded in 1443, the third Sunday of November each year is the big day for the Hospices de Beaune auction.
The newly produced wines from that year are auctioned off publicly, with local wine merchants participating, but most of the bids come from foreign importers or private consignors, making these wines quite rare in the market.
